Summer, Please Dont Go!

It's been a wonderful summer. The weather has been great. We've spent lots of time outside. We've taken some weekend trips, but have mostly stayed closed to home. I started a new job that I love and it allows me to be at home working 2 days a week while someone helps with C. Even though summer coming to a close doesn't mean all that much as far as going back to school or work since that doesn't really apply to it, I am still sad to see August come. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the last 12 weeks or so...

Stay a little while longer, summer!

Richardson Family Reunion

A few weekends ago we traveled to Lindon Tennessee for the Richardson Family Reunion.  I was a little girl the last time we had a reunion, but it was neat to go and take C.  Adam wasn't able to come because of work, and we sure missed him! I worked in Jonesboro for a couple of days while my parents kept C, then we all met up in Memphis to carpool to Lindon, which is in between Memphis and Nashville.  My cousin and her kids, my 2 uncles and aunt all went as well. We had a great time together.

We can't wait until next time!

1. My good friend Kaitlyn is keeping Caroline and Carson this summer. She is wonderful and I'm so blessed that she loves my girl!

2. I'm loving my Keurig. We got it back in the Spring but I am just really loving it. It also prevents me from drinking 10 cups of coffee a day... even though some days I REALLY want to.
3. Our Library. We have a great library. I've been going there to work some during the week, but I've also been taking C to "Baby Bookworms" once a week.  She loves it and so do I!
(Here we are with our buddy D)

4. Cucumber Salad.  I've been eating this all summer.  I usually make a big bunch of it on the weekend and eat on it all week.  It's so easy to make and its delicious and healthy.

5. Adam wanted this "dumb" speaker for his birthday. I think I enjoy it more than he does! Especially out on our deck where we've spent much of our time this summer.

Friends and Summer

I love friends and I love summer. We've been enjoying both lately and this past weekend was no different.  On Friday, I went to lunch with some of my girlfriends. Jennifer, Nicole, Kaitlyn, Jill, and the babes.
I love that Brody was the only boy. One day he will think that's cool.

Brody took a pic of the big girls.

Our friends Ally and Dalton and their baby Palmer came to visit on Friday night.  We all went over to Rich and Renee's on Friday night for dinner and had the best time.  R&R have Vivvie who was born 2 days after Caroline and Palmer was born 3 weeks ahead of them.  We had the BEST time and the littles sure played hard!
Big sister S was having a great time "babysitting."

Here's a fun flashback photo from when C and P were just 2 months old.  Is that the cutest thing you've ever seen?!

Adam's parents came to town and I had a whole day of shopping alone on Saturday.  We then had Adam's cousin and her family from OK over for dinner and games.  I managed to not take a single picture! We enjoyed grilling out and playing Baago in the yard. The weather could not have been better.

On Sunday we went to church then dropped by the Greens to see our buddies Luke and the Owen's before they left for home.  This pic is one of my favs... I really love these people!

And I know these 3 are going to grow up being great friends. Cheers to another great weekend with our friends!

A Crawling Tutorial

Brother Gus has been trying to help sister learn to crawl.

NINE Months of Cuteness

You are nine months old!

You are full of life and smile all the time.

You have beautiful blue eyes just like your dad. I think you are starting to look more and more like him.

~ You do not have any teeth
~ you are not crawling, but instead roll to get where you are going
~ You are down to 2 naps a day... a morning nap at 9 am for 1 hour and afternoon nap at 1:30 for at least 2 hours
~you eat 7 ounces and take 5 bottles a day. We feed you pureed food 3 times a day.
~You have started drinking out of a sippee cup
~ you sleep all night usually for 11 hours.
~ You still do not like to be rocked at night, and instead like to just be laid down in your crib.  Your dad and I often will got get you up out of bed after you're asleep to rock you. Its about the only time you are still.
~You wave bye bye
~ you give hi fives, kisses, and clap when we say "yay"
~ you say "mama" and "dada"  You started saying "mama" first, the day after you turned 8 months old
~ you blow raspberries, click your tongue, and smack your lips
~ you spit up less and less each month, but still seem to have to change clothes (as do I) about 3 times a day
~ I can hardly believe you've been with us for 9 months! I just scheduled your 1 year pictures which is nearly impossible to fathom

~ you LOVE your grandparents.  You are especially attached to your Cece right now. When she is around, you want nothing to do with anyone else... including me!
~Last week, you started going to your friend Carson's house three days a week.  Kaitlyn has been keeping you this summer and keeps you and Carson over there on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  It's been great because I get a lot of work done on those days without having to leave the house.
~I say it every month, but you are SO happy. I feel so blessed to be the mom of such a happy, easy baby!

Happy 9 months, baby girl!
