24 weeks and the beach!

22 weeks

I know I said I wouldn't post every week but I could tell a big difference between 22 and 24 weeks so I wanted to post a picture. This is me at 22 weeks, and I had my last OB appointment Monday at 25 weeks. I have now gained 20 lbs. The thought of that kind of makes me sick but I'm trying not to make such a big deal about it. I've gained more than I had hoped to at this point but I'm eating when I'm hungry and still exercising regularly. I'm not dieting or restricting calories by any means- I'm just making sure to eat plenty of all of my food groups each day... including the occasional brownie or cookie. :) I feel great which is most important and my doctor (who I love) says she's not worried about my weight gain at all and that I'm right on track. I am feeling a little more tired than usual, but that is probably due to the 100 degree weather we have been having!  Work has been pretty busy lately too which adds to the tiredness.

I did get a call from the doctor today telling me that while my glucose test came back perfectly normal, I am iron deficient. I had already been taking an iron supplement since my prenatal didn't have any. She had me up the dosage and will check my iron again at my next appointment. This may explain the nose bleeds!

We leave for vacation to Navarre Beach, FL on Saturday and I can hardly contain my excitement! We went there a couple of times when I was a kid and I haven't been to northeast FL in years. Adam and I are going with my parents, brother, and my dad's brother for a whole week.  My grandmother was also supposed to go but backed out because she hasn't been feeling well. I will miss her not being there but I am looking forward to getting away for a bit. I'm going to try my hardest to put work away for a whole week and just relax. I guess this is our "baby moon" as well so I know I need to enjoy this last vacation without a little one running around!
